Set a filter automatically?

I'm working on an new HTPC for my son, and I want to make sure he can only view the 'Family' films in my movie database, which is an XML database stored on a server. How do I modify the skin I'm using (Visual) so that entering the movie screen automatically sets the filter to genre=Family? I've been looking for examples of other skins doing something similar but I haven't found the magic incantation yet.

I can't remember if it was you that I talked to before or not in the chat room, but did you try putting a custom search command with the goto movies command?

It would look something like this...
