New skin testscreens

This skin is done from scratch with just rectangels so it will be easy to do new themes with it.It took a while to create all the buttons and overlay fog pictures so I have only these shots for now...
I guess I will only do a 16:9 version of it

VERY NICE...

I like the layout... looks simular to another one I've seen somewhere...

Are you thinking about adding a bit more color to the backgrounds?

Also, you are welcome to use the buttons I've designed. There are tons of shapes and such. All done with PS8 in PSD format.

It may have some design similiaritys with a skin from meedio but the idea with all those alphalayers in it is an old idea of mine back from Steven implemented themesuport in Xlobby.I even e-mailed a sample from it to him back then.All the graphics in these shots are made by me so I doubt it should be problems with this skin.This skin is even very different to use and navigate also.
This is from default theme and I have planned to do some more colorful themevariants of it later.It will be supereasy since it just changing colors on the rectangels.

I gotta tell you... WOW.

I love the layout. I'd like to see some more color (it is a bit dark for my taste) but other then that it looks great.

Any way you could mimic the color scheme of the Meedio skin that I posted in the beginning of this endevor?

That is good. If you used circle shapes as buttons too, instead of my round buttons, in conjunction with a font, then this skin would be completley customizable via resource mananger. In fact, if I made you a couple of transparent buttons, then changing color would be so easy. Are your resources set up for easy color adjustment?

Yes you can easy change everything from resourcemanager.It also have been setup with a couple of themes so I hope someone with great taste of colors could adjust this skin so it will be looking real good.
Now it has a simple stylish layout so it is easy to understand.
and Colby....how can you make buttons with just shapes and at the same time make them change color when navigate ?
I have already made a dozen of tranparent buttons for this skin.

Another good news is that my htpc is back on track so I can acess all files needed to release it.I just need some food and a nap first

In your resources, you would add a child named enter. Then when you enter over it will change to this resource. All your "gloss", "scanlines" etc would be independent of color. So changing colors would be a matter of switching the resources.

Liked the screenshoot http://www.xlobby.com/files/qtips/scree ... PS0022.jpg best. Personally i would probably want the text to be a little less aggressive though. Imac blue or something. But colored text instead of just white made a big differense. Guess one can change that on ones own? Like it when the background is subtle. Love the grayscale and the toned down headphone.. Oh. It would do much for the impression if the album covers was placed inside the frames.
