Poll: Link the event manager to the skin editor?

Postby Colby on Tue Sep 19, 2006 2:30 am

I have been constantly frustrated by this thing for quite awhile so I want to poll the forum to show myself / Steven what the concensus would be.

I have always thought that you should be able to make events in the skineditor rather than the setup menu. I hate the toggling back and forth just to make a simple button. If I had it my way when you clicked to add an event, you could also create and manage the events from that window, not select only. What does everyone else think?

It definately would be nice to stop toggling back and forth, but I would like to see it in both places, I use it when I am setting up IR stuff also, so I would need to accss it and the IR plugin tab.

Good idea,

How about making them both available on screen simultaneously?

I'm pretty new, but I find myself constantly going back and forth.

+1

After we select an event for a button it could be also nice to keep the event tree expanded with the last event selected.

To seperate functionallity and UI is normally a good thing, and I think the architecture should stay as-as, but it would be nice to be able to get to the F2 menu while in screen editor.
