I couldn't find a way to make a spider work, but I have almost zero experience doing this sort of thing so it may have just been my novice skills. However, they do outline their API for direct access to their database:

I've never done anything like this before, and was wondering if someone could point me toward some resources for understanding what I'm reading on that page. Any help is appreciated.
