What a great idea, I'll be no help in creating it but could help in testing it.

If someone could create one dont forget to add support for mulitzone use. 8)

Ide be willng fund (bribe) someone to do this plugin, the closer I get to complete setup on the htpc the more I need this. It sould be very very very usefull to me, even just a simple, 24 hour cycle one (no advanced setting or anything) would be awesome, with option to play a loud annoying normal alarm sound, or start your playlist. Come on!! SOMEONE! PLEASE! I'm oversleeping without it! Thanks in advance!

I'm happy to contribute to a bribe if that helps!

This plugin already exists, check out this post

It is in development by Ptrinchi in the French team.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!
You got me all pumped up, but once xlobby runs I get a runtime error and it wont work. Removing the plugin fixes it. Any idea?

use the last version of xlobby.exe and XPluginSDK.dll, Steven add some modifications for the plugin. so, you must use the last one.
