Just wanted to chime in real quick and say thanks for posting an excellent skin for the xlobby community. The changes you've made for touch screen users make me happy :D I've running your skin on my 7" lilliput touchscreen....

Hi Baddabing - I'm trying out v3 on one of my machines, looks really great.

Question - when you go into the cd details view in music, there's a column of 5 discs on the right hand side. Any way you can fit an up/down arrow at the top/bottom of that column?

Also, I don't know if this is a compromise that one has to make with remote control friendly software or not, but.... It seems like everything in XLobby, not only with your skin, is sensitive to mouse flyover events. This can get troublesome when you click in one place, then need to move the mousepointer over to another part of the screen to press a button, and by the time your mouse moves across the screen, it's flown over several other things that completely mess up the context of what you're trying to do. Often it can get real tricky to find a path for the mouse to follow just so I don't fly over something else.

Any way to make this better? Is there a way that I can at least set the amount of time it takes the mouse to fly over an object before the event fires?

I'm particularly sensitive to it with this newest version - when I'm in movies, I see icons for the different movie genres. When I click on one of the genres, I can see that it brings me into a screen with about 8 movie icons, but the mouse immediately fires an event which brings me into the detail for whichever movie happens to be right under where the genre icon was in the previous screen.....

I love what you did with the screens, I think you were right on with the layout changes.

Hey Badda since you asked...

I'm having problems getting the visualization button to work. I've installed milkdrop and I can view it from winamp just fine. When I try to open xlobby and click the visualization button nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

I was using Heavy Metal v3 but now I'm using the carbon version and same problem happens on both.

Thanks

Are you going to release this in the "Carbon" version?

summerall,
Regarding the visualization/milkdrop problem - it also happens in the default skin, so it is not a HeavyMetal problem. It appears that the latest exe broke the viz function. Its been reported as a bug here: http://www.xlobby.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2727
Just fyi, bugs that have lots of posts get more attention from steve...so if you guys want this fixed - start posting!

Aaron
Thats really up to Colby - Carbon is his original work. If he wants to release a reskined 'metal' I think it would be excellent. If he wants to give me the files to do it - and have me support it - I'd be happy to do that as well.

I love the carbon look as it is lighter and looks better on my TV.

Aaron,
You might want to try posting to Colby directly or in one of his threads. I don't know how much time he spends reading the HeavyMetal threads.
not a problem with you posting here -just a suggestion...
