MPC focus

Postby dalanik on Thu Mar 03, 2005 10:09 am

Since I reinstalled my HTPC, I've been having problems with MPC when used in combination with XMoveWindow. Previously it all worked fine, when MPC was opened I was able to continue navigating XLobby.

Now MPC gets focus and no matter what I do, I can't navigate XLobby unless i mouse click XLobby window (which is no option since I use remote control).

Am I missing something obvious? How to setup MPC/XMoveWindow/XLobby so XLobby gets focus on MPC lounch?

if you didn't assign any plugin event, that should give the focus to xlobby... strange.

are you sure, that you are using the last version of XMoveWindow ?

here is the version that I use: http://www.france.xlobby.com/forum/dgemily/temp/XMoveWindow.zip
let me know if it works

Unbelivable but I still have problems with this... I have the latest XMovewindow for sure... Could the version of MPC be the problem?

Weird... everytime I reinstall my HTPC I have problems with MPC/XMovewindow not focusing correctly... :-)

I replaced my good old HTPC (HP 1.3 Ghz laptop) with new Dell D-610 2Ghz, managed to reinstall XLobby and all components pretty easily and everuthing works, except XMovewindow/MPC :-)

Just like last time, it sizes the window, but focus remains in MPC instead of XLobby...

Ah, well, that's life...

make sure to use the last version of xmovewindow : http://www.france.xlobby.com/plugins/xmovewindow.zip

and use the version 6.4.8.4 of mpc , available there

the only thing that you have to do is to check always on top.

OK I'll give it a try. Funny thing is that MPC and XMovewindow.dll were COPIED from my old HTPC, where they worked just fine!?

New version (2.x) of XMoveWindow seems to have solved the focus thing. I even left my old MPC version (because of the size - version I use is approx 1.3 Mb and the newer one is 4.8 Mb) I don;t think that I need any of the need features since I use it only with XMoveWindow :-)

Thanx,

Dalibor

P.S. We really should have CENTRAL store with latest versions of all plugins! :-)
