Ok well how about I go ahead and set up an FTP server...I will give the username/pw to steven if he agrees then people can email him or I for them. Maybe for people who cant dl can get in touch with Tracie to work out a hard copy distribution...unfortunately I dont have a dvd burner so I can burn the initial copy. As long as people dont abuse the FTP by giving it away to everyone or posting it somewhere I think it can stay open for awhile. I will make it leech but I would love for peolpe to upload their own trailers as well.

I will see waht I can do when I get home tonight.

Yeah, I think that all of us can help with the uploading part, especially those of us on broadband connections. I'll wait to see if anyone's interested in the mail-sharing thing.

What connection speeds do most ppl here have?

I have 1500/256 kbits/sec. (Thats 1500 downstream/256 upstream)

Just wondering because if people have slow upstream connections and setup FTP servers you might as well forget any decent download rates.

Im on cable...im not sure the specifics, but Im pretty sure it can handle decent dl speeds. Ive had ftps set up on it before with no trouble. But hey if you want to host it please be my guest

For the people that are doing the hosting we could go ahead & send them hard copies via mail if that would help w/download speeds.

I havent set up the ftp yet...probably tomorrow. I had a bit of a rough afternoon and wasnt in the mood, my appologies. But tomorrow I will finish ripping the rest of my dvds and then set up the server and we can see how it works out.

I have a fractional T1 that I can free up on weekends and Late night if an additional mirror for the content is needed.

I think one of the first thing we do, download or dvdr, is we set up a list so we are all not ripping the same trailers eachother have. If everyone can create a list of what they have for trailers and post the list in one place, then we can share with eachother in our own way and get a master to steven. Personally I prefer to just burn dvds and mail.
