I am also having trouble with the AudioCD autoplay feature. I can sometimes get my 'CD inserted overlay' to appear by moving the mouse around but most of the time xlobby does absolutely nothing. I have tried the 'button select' trick in event manager but that does not seem to work either.
Can anybody help?

Quoting myself from one of those threads:

I had this problem and it went away if I specified a button to be selected as part of the event. After the 'open overlay' event I added a 'button select' event and named one of the buttons on the screen and the the 'button select' to say 'DVDplay' as the name of my play button. This sovled the problem for me of having to move the mouse around to get the overlay to display.

Thanks for the responses but I already tried everything recommended in those threads and it still does not reliably work on my machine.
