importing pictures - please help

Hi, I'm pretty new to xlobby (fantasic program btw). Anyways, I'm having problems importing pictures...when I try to import, it hangs on the first picture for a little bit, and then crashes. I was able to import movies and music (for the most part). Anyone have any suggestions? I couldn't find anything searching the forums. I'm using the latest pre-release and main xlobby files, and have the net 2.0 framwork installed.

I'm not sure about this but I think xlobby uses XML to build databases and XML doesn't like the following characters:

"&"
"<"
">"

Check the names of your pictures and make sure you don't have any named with those characters.

thanks summerall, I will give that a try when i get home. Can i have sub-folders and mpegs mixed in with the pictures? I'm at work now, but I think that's how my folders are set-up.

Well, I'd worked on it a little more tonight...I decided to try reloading windows thinking maybe I was missing some updates.
win2k w/ sp4 (image)
windows updates
ms net framework 2.0
then:
xlobbyreplease1
xlobby2
go to import pictures, and it crashes xlobby at 3% (1rst picture)
I'm confident the filenames and the path are okay. I'm thinking I didn't install or setup xlobby correctly.

I figured it out...I installed xlobby incorrectly..everythings working smoothly now...thanks for the tips
