PowerDVD & .vob files???

Postby Ja-mase on Sun Jun 12, 2005 3:49 pm

Hi Guys,

I am pretty new to all of this and wondered if the people in the know would be able to help me out.

I have am amount of .iso files and some .vob files and whilst the trial version of Zoomplayer plays them it will crash 6/7 times out of 10.

I am, therefore, trying to use PowerDVD 6 but am having problems with the .vob files; it doesn't seem to be loading them.

Can anyone suggest a remedy and/or different player to use.

Many thanks in advance

PowerDVD and XLobby

This is how I got PowerDVD to work. Go to the Setup in XLobby (F2 key). Click on File Types tab and either add a new file type or click on an already listed DVD player. For example, if zoomplayer is listed, click on that.

In the Details section click on the Browse button and select the directory where PowerDVD is installed. The default location is:C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\PowerDVD.exe
For extensions use the types of files you want to open, for example ifo.avi.iso.img.video_ts is the default and works for me. Finally for command line switch use "%file%" (Make sure you include the quotes!)

That should do it. When you hit a movie play button it will launch PowerDVD with the movie you selected.
