Selecting different audio tracks with DVD playing

Postby Marbles_00 on Wed Aug 17, 2005 6:03 pm

If using Zoom Player, is there a way of selecting a different audio track after Zoom has started. I know of a command line that will select a track by default (/AUDIO:[n]) at startup. Or to make the audio track "DVD file" dependent. Example is that I want to play only Dolby Digital (and not DTS). Is there a way for Xlobby to default Zoom Player to the Dolby Digital track no matter the track position on the DVD (track 1, track 2,...track n).

How I have my skin set up is that when I select a DVD movie, Zoomplayer starts up. In the setup/file types I could add that line above to default to Dolby Digital, say set up on track 1. But in some cases (Sim City is one for sure) the DD track is track 2. Track 1 is for DTS (which is not supported with my currently setup). Is there a way of changing this?

Very curious if there is a way to do it.

in zoomplayer config u can tell which audio is your prefferred audio. just make it DD not dts and it will always do dd. I have it like that but I tell it to always play dts if availibly.

so its in zooms config not xlobby.

Thanks Lasse,

I looked around Zoom Player's config but there is so much there, I guess I missed it. I will have another look. If the "better half" ever allows me to get a processor with DTS decoding, well then I will be changing my defaults...but in the mean time...

its under the DVD section under the DVD Values Tab. Way down to the right and the option is called
-"Preffered Dvd Audio...."
