Help with Zoom player / heavy metal TS

Postby jnd53 on Sun Jan 14, 2007 5:54 am

I am unable to get ZP to start I am using the command switch as follows /F: 2 %playlist% and the extensions are ifo.video_ts,vob
I am running xlobby on my touch screen and would like the ZP to play on my DLP TV. The only way I can get it to start is manually but it will only show the picture on my touch panel if I transfer it to my TV I get no picture.
Also everytime I start it it tells me to set up the DVD options every time it opens. Not sure what thats about.
I have my movies on my hard drive as D:movies\mature
any help is appreciated I am a noob be gentle.
Thanks JD

I believe that you have an unnecessary "2" in the command switch - it should be /f %playlist%, at least that works for me. I use the following extensions - ifo,avi,iso,img,video_ts,vob which again work. What skin are you using?

When you install ZP you have to set it up which is why you are getting the message. When you open the program press Ctrl + O which will bring up the options window. From here you will be able to set up which video and audio decoders to use as well as a raft of other options. If you need more help with this no problem just let me know which version you are using.

Have fun!

Thanks for the help, I am using heavy metal TS and I just updated to ZP to 5.0, it did not seem to help. I prefer to use theatertek, but I was unable to get it to work either. So I went to ZP since that was what Baddabing was using. I have tried all the different string variations with out lqny luck, so I am hoping you can help. I have been to the set up in ZP but once I exit it asks me again once it has reopened. I am wonding if I should uninstal it and try again? Also does the 2 not represent my second monitor, that is what I thouht.
THanks JD

What video and audio decoders are you using in ZP?

You can simply open ZP without it being fullscreen, drag it to the monitor you want it to display on, press Alt+enter to make it full screen and then as long as you have ZP set to remember last state it will always dispaly full screen on your chosen monitir everytime it is launched.

Have you ensured that the Nvidia decoder is selected under setup within ZP?

Are you using an authorized copy of Zoomplayer, with your own paid-for registration key? I don't mean to insinuate anything (I have lots of software beyond its "trial" date) but the behavior you describe has been linked to cracked versions of ZP

No, I have a key, also I have fixed that problem with a reinstall.
It works fine now, my only problem is I have to open it before I open Xlobby in order for it to start. but as far as I know maybe that is how everyone here is doing it.
Thanks JD

No. That's weird. Make sure your command switch is "/f %playlist%" (minus the quotes of course, but no "2" and no ":"). You also have to Browse to your Zoomplayer install on the same window (Setup > File Types) and make sure the "Enabled" box is checked.

Thanks Rem, I have it working turns out my path to each movie was just video_ts. Once I fixed that everthing started working fine. Now I am going to tackle the TV portion and usbuirt, lets see what kind of trouble I can get in there.
Thanks everybody who has helped me to this point.
