Use of the Filter EPG button

Hi

I am experimenting with EPGs in an XL skin.


Can anyone give me a pointer to info which explains how the channel list can be filtered. I see there is a filter button on the EPG page of the skin editor but nothing seems to happen when I press it and I cant see any info regarding this in the help files.

I wnt to be able to filter (i.e. shorten) the channel list displayed in the EPG grid on the basis of defined "genres" such as News, Films, Documentaries, Filth, Quiz shows etc.

I don't think channel filtering is currently supported as standard, but check out the xltv plugin which I think may be able to do something similar.

The other thing you could do is use multiple xmltv files and have different screens using each of the different xmltv files depending on the genre you want to look at.

Perhaps Steven would be able to tell us how to use this function.

Is he still working on XL2 or is all of his effort being put to the new 3d version?
