ok. if this is a bit over simplified i am sorry, but here is how to get snap track working...
1) if you hit f2 you are shown the setup dialog.
2) clck on events and you will be shown a load of entreis that are run by you skin.
3) click add group and call it "playlist.test"
4) click on the group you just added
5) click add event and call it snap.on
6) on the command tab expand music
7) select snap track
press add
9) on the command tab expand xlobby
10) select save to variable, for infomation enter 1 and variable (location) enter snaptrackwait
11) click on the group you added eairler (playlist.test)
12) click add event and call it snap.off
13) on the command tab expand music
14) select snap track
15) press add
16) You now have two events setup to enable/disable snaptrack add a button (snap on) onto your playlist screen and set the event to be playlist.test:snap.on (can do the same for snap.off)
17) press it and snap should work
18) leave xlobby alone while it plays a song and when it goes to the next one it should highlight it because its the current song...
Notes...
Snaptrack does no set focus to the current song, it will simply keep it visibile on the playlist, so if you have not setup the playlist category to highlight the playling song you wont see much...
what you will see if that when the last song on the current page of the playlist finishes it will automatically jump to the next page to keep the current song vsible.
I think there in the current build of xlobby snaptrack may be on by default, so if yoy dont see anything happen try pressing "snap on" again and see if it makes an differance.
If you press the pause key you are shown the skin editor, on one of the pages you can set enter and exit events for a screen, i would bind snap.on to the entry event for you playlist and snap.off to the exit event.
Hope that this is of some use.
Sean.
