Getting TV to Work

Are there any tips on getting TV to work? I have successfully used ChrisTV, AIW Player, and web cam programs, but, have made no progress with XL.

Is there a FAQ or something that I missed to not get any responses on this yet? I have gone through the docs posted with no luck.

there is no tv recording in xlobby, there is an epg that you can use. You have to place a file called "xmltv.xml" that is in the xmltv format in the xmltv folder to get the epg working.

as far as recording is concerned, the french team was working on something but I didnt get a chance to look at it yet.

I'm not looking to record yet. Just seeing video from my capture device would work.

xlobby does not have any TV integrated at all at this time. People use other tv apps to view TV. just add a button with a OS exe command to launch the application. Like Steven said, the french team are working on something but I think it is for software based cards(hope I'm not wrong here)

myself use Mediaportal as a TV application. Others use gottv, christv, ctvpvr and so on.

What kind of card do u have?

badubo (french xlobby team) created a plugin that fixe position and size for any displaying window in xlobby : so we use it for Media Player Classic, minilyrics (karaoke mode), Milkdrop (visualization for audio files), CDisplay for reading comics, and ProgDVB ! This plugin remove the border of the window (Media Player Classic and ProgDVB by example)
The maTV skin works with ProgDVB which is called as an external soft but basilou (french xlobby team) add logos and you can change the chain by clicking on the logo chain.
badubo is writing a plugin for analog and sat card ! all the french team is waiting for this plugin cause badudo is

Lasse: Ok, thanks. Since TV is on the menus, I assumed it could work. I will then stick with ChrisTV.
