Can you force a reread of a database file?

I am using xAnt to create my xlobby db .xml files. But then in a startup event I run a bunch of code (through an XL plugin) to modify my XL databases. Unfortunately, Xlobby does not pick up these changes. I have tried the update category event, etc. I even tried to update the category through the XL interface. It is quote odd, because I can open the .xml file in a text editor and verify that my fields are correct, but when I open it through XL (F2->databases), it shows the database version before my code modified it.

Can I force a reread of the databases through a plugin?

Ok, so here is what I found:

From what I can tell, the "category-> refresh" command DOES NOT do the same thing as going to the Setup (F2)-> databases -> select a database -> push REFRESH button.

Does anyone know how to force a REREAD OF A DATABASE file from within a plugin? (i.e. emulate going to the Setup (F2)-> databases -> select a database -> push REFRESH button)??? I am modifying database files, and need to get the reread, WITHOUT having to manually go to F2 menu.

isn't xlobby->Refresh database instead of category refresh?

I don't think that is offered in Xlobby "free". I've only seen Xlobby-->refresh image library.
