Video not working at all

Postby Dread on Sun Sep 03, 2006 12:50 pm

note: im running on the new xlobby - simplicity

I've been having this problem where I can add import movies, but can't play them. I use theatertek as my video player; and in the File Type settings I provide the correct location for it..
the problem is that none of my movies play. I have one movie on my local disk as a VIDEO_TS folder and two others as ISO images. Ive allocated where DAEMON tools is in the General tab, and set my drive letter. THe movies showed up on xlobby; but when I clicked on either of the two iso files, they wre mounted by DAEMON tools but then nothing followed. With the movie on local disk, a message pops up saying I am required to put in the dvd - I have two options from there, to continue or cancel, and when clicking continue, my cd tray opens. Note that it is not my default cd tray that opens, and I do not know how to change the settings on xlobby to recognise E: as my default drive.
Also note; I've tried AVI files but to no avail, and my music works fine. I've tried reinstalling the program and even downloading a fresh copy again, but still, no success. Now this is the fourth time I've tried reinstalling, and the movies don't even show up once I've imported them; though they show up in the database tab under import (in the "movies" path box).
Sorry for going on for so long, but this has stumped me for more than a week now, and I don't see what I'm doing wrong! The music works fine!

Don't use TT myself, but see if you can find an answer in this thread.

Rereading your first post it appears that xlobby thinks the iso mounted images are offline and is showing the offline page. You really need to familiarize yourself with the "File Types" settings of Setup (F2). This is where you associate files with you player. Also make sure that the player is "enabled" with correct paths and options as listed in the above mentioned post. Xlobby comes with ZoomPlayer enabled by default. This is also where you define the "offline event" for a player.

Some things to check. Make sure your directory structure is matching what Xlobby is looking for. Examples

C:\movies\EuroTrip\EuroTrip.iso
C:\movies\EuroTrip\video_ts\video_ts.ifo

You then only put C:\movies in the "Movie Paths" under "Basic" of the setup.
