Create "current"/"now Playing" playlist

Hi to all!

I'm new to Xlobby - I must say it's wonderful, just what I need to organise/view/listen my DVD & mp3 collection!


I would like to turn my hand to creating a skin, but I cannot understand how to create a "now playing or "current" playlist.

I've checked out a few skins, pressed "pause/break" to bring up skin editor and checked out the playlist, but I cannot seem to make a playlist.

I'm not talking about a radio or saved playlist, but a playlist of what is currently playing.

I've read the skinning docs, but I must be to daft to understand them, and I cannot find what I need - also I've searched the forum to no avail.

Can anyone explain in simple terms?

Assuming your music category is named music, and so is your music database. This might work.

For now playing: create a textbox named audioplayer>now>%artist% - %trackname%

For now playing cover: create a textbox with ID: nowplaying>music

For playlist: Create a category named playlist for the display use %position%. %display% for the info screen use nothing.
