Using XLTV skin inside another CUSTOM skin

Badobo,

I am using XLTV plugin with mytheatre setup. I wanted to use your xltv skin in a skin which i have created, this calls for renaming your menu screen to something else as I have a menu screen already defined, if i do so then the renamed skin does not load mytheare.

Could you explain what event of the menu screen load the mytheatre program.

Did you follow the documentation (xltv.doc) ?
You have a chapter "Using XLTV in Skins"

If you copied the menu screen of xltv skin in your own skin, you have at least to rename the text zone with xltv_screenname (screenname is the new name)

Is there anyway to configure the MT to use Dual Tuners?

I think you are asking for trouble

It is a very difficult setup and even if you get it to work, it will be very fragile. You will see a lot of crashes. Also, I don't think it is currently possible in MT to record two shows simultaneously with two tuner cards in one pc.

Best bet would be to use two tuner cards on different pcs and record the streams on a media server which you can access from any client.

HI, im trying to use xltv within the colbyskin2 skin. I know you mentioned that its documented in the xltv.doc. But i still dont understand how to do it. Im now to xlobby and also to this skin editing.

Would you be as kind to give a step by step on how to accomplish this and would the epg show up in the existing colbyskin2 also?

At which step do you block?
Did you append the text zone?

Im at step 0, i dont know how to go about putting the text zone with xltv_screenname etc... sorry for the noobishness, very new to xlobby. I tried going into the skin editor to see what i can do , but im lost there.

First read the skinning guide :

then :
in the skin editor, go to "screen" tab/Add
type something (only to see the zone after) in the "Text" box
--> Add
Go to the "item" tab/ "Default" and select the new zone
Place it where you want (position and size)
in the ID text box type : xltv_screenname (where screenname is the name of your current screen)

For the EPG, it is by far more complex, you better have to analyse how it is made in the xltv skin
