Applying new pre-releases question

Is there a way to "apply" the new pre release without overwriting the IR codes and the file associations? I just want to update the "date" of expiration but everytime I apply it I have to reassociate files with programs and re do my IR codes from my pronto.

have you made sure you're ONLY doing the "partial" update? This should leave events and skins in place. It's what I do for my "pre-release" installation (different directory from my "production" xLobby)

Yeah I only do partial updates but it overwrites alot of stuff like the file types and what programs are used for them and the IR codes. Oh well one of the problems I'll just live with.
