movie / trailer db work together?

I'm trying to set up the view trailer button on my movie overlay (using ColbySkin) so that it looks up the currently selected movie in the trailer database and then executes the quicktime pointed to by that trailer's parameter. I've got the movie names and trailer names all exactly the same, so it seems that I need something like the following:

%trailers>%movies>display%>parameter%

I'm only a couple days into Xlobby, but this has me pulling my hair out. I'm not even crystal clear on where/how the current item selections are stored, so any info there would be greatly helpful. I've searched the forums high and low but couldn't seem to find anything.

Any ideas?

i see what your trying to do, that cant be done. Easiest way would be to store the location of the trailer in your movies database....not sure thats the answer you want. But if you do it that way you could just use

%movies>trailerlocation%
