remote works with standalone winamp, why not when in xlobby?

Postby buffotoad on Thu Jan 25, 2007 12:04 pm

I am using an MCE remote with HIP. It is able to control Winamp when I run Winamp as a standalone application. But, when I am playing music in Xlobby (using Winamp as the player), the remote has no effect on Winamp.

For example, when I am in Xlobby and I press the >> key on the remote, Winamp doesn't play the next song. However, this works when I am not in Xlobby and am running Winamp standalone.

To add to the mystery, I am able to control Zoomplayer with the remote when I am in Xlobby. I don't understand why the same reasoning wouldn't apply to controlling Winamp.

Anybody have any ideas how to fix this?

Thank you for any help.

it's because there is only 1 song at a time in the playlist of winamp (Xlobby manages the playlist, not winamp and send only 1 song at a time).

but play, stop pause should work (even if it is not recommanded as it is better to let xlobby do the job)
