Anyone getting a "database in use" error when starting up with this plugin lately? I get an error on startup (latest V2 build) when it gets to the stations database saying it's being used by something else. I will be honest that I haven't dug into it really deep yet, but it concerns me because I LOVE THIS PLUGIN!!!

Hmmm, strange - I've been doing some skinning recently (your fault Grooby :D) so lots of restarts on both free and latest v2 both with this plugin installed and haven't seen this.

Keep me informed as I want to make sure this one is nailed - I love this plugin as much as you guys.

Also I'm working on a new RSS feedreader for free and v2 - more news coming soon

I also mailed Wes after he advertised the shoutcast v2 in the xlobby news about xliveshout - I guess he hasn't read it

Defrag,

I did read your post on the xLiveShout v1.2, the plugin is cool and nicely done. We obviously want xLobby to have this kind of intuitive interaction, but we had to build the basic back end for support of shoutcast and other ip based streams into xLobby Ver 2 first until Ver 3 is ready. Because Ver 3 can offer so many more new possibilities and will provide a better eye candy user interface, only then can a single user or multiple users really enjoy a on the fly set of station creation tools with a more interactive navigation system for differnt genres of music and all types of different on-line IP radio content.

In any case this plugin adds real value to all the xLobby users.

Thanks,

Wes,

Thanks for your comments, appreciated.

It just seemed a strange news posts as it highlighted a negative aspect of a cool addition. Cut and paste is not a good selling point!!!

Background color on Genre's.
Defrag. Pulling (what little) hair out I have left here.
Functionaly, XLiveShout works perfectly.
But, when I integrate your standalone skin into my full XL, the selected genre' turns black from dark blue, instead of orange. So, I can't see the selection from a distance.
I'm sure I have a forest vs trees thing here.
What did I miss?
TIA.

have you checked the colour of the rectangle that is used as the selection hightlight? I usually use the internal rectangle as the highlight and have that set to one of the resources.

Ah. That seems to be the crux of it. Your skin (Skin editor>Item>Display>Resource) shows the 'shout' colo(u)rs and other items which my skin doesn't.
Must see what I missed bringing over. ??
Thanks.

Should have replied to this earlier. I didn't bring over your fonts folder and merge it with mine. All is well now.

Now, with the latest XL 2.0 build - Rev J, I have an issue where I see a lot of stations 'now playing' populated with the track info (plugin>LiveShout>page number>%current%) and way below their max listeners.
Many of them don't play or they play several seconds and are done.
'Now Playing' at the bottom, (audioplayer>now>%artist%) will flash that info up for a few seconds during play, then go blank when the sound stops.

? tnx

Hi Jay,

Maybe worth going to www.shoutcast.com and view the same lists as you have in the plugin (they should be the same). Try running the station directly from the web site and see what happens.

I'll have a look from my side to over the next few days and we can swap results at the end of the week (working at the mo :( ).
