Help each other out

starting offline movies

Postby badubo on Tue Jun 08, 2004 1:37 pm

Hi,

I take a look in the forum and particularly this post :
http://www.xlobby.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... ht=offline
but with the last version, I'm unable to start an avi (not a dvd) movie in a cdrom.
Basically, what I understand is :
- I put "offline" status in the dba
- I set the offline event in the "files type"
There, I open an overlay asking to insert the correct cd/dvd

but at this point, I have a play button that calls a "continue start event" :?: :?:
And nothing...

Has somenone been able to use this offline feature?
How is managed the file path (drive, directory, file) ?

OK - No one seems to know the answer.

1 - What player are you using??
2 - If you use zoom player then make the overlay continue button execute zoom with path to cd drive. I cannot remember what the exact command line is but you can tell zoom to play whatever is in the drive.

Give me more info?

Later
Simon.

Hi,

Thanks for the tip,

I use ZP but I must tell ZP which filename start, I use DVD for storing files and there are several files on 1 media.

My main problem is how to use the parameter inside the xml dba and the offlinedrive together. I guess it is the purpose of continue start event but don't know how.

i've been trying to get this to work, but no luck. Also trying to work out how to do 2 avi files/movie over two disks. How can i get xlobby to ask for the next disk, got lots of free time over next few weeks so i'm going to have a proper go at finding a solution.

This is exactly what I've been thinking of doing, encoding my movies to xvid and put several of the on 1 dvd. :D So I also would like to know the answer to that question. How to tell ZP to start a specific file on a dvd.
