Shoutcast Plugin

I see what you mean Sharp. I've just been playing around with the Heavy Metal skin and noticed that. At first I thought it may have something to do with accessing a database withing the skin database directory, but it didn't seem to make any difference. I would say that is unique to the skin, as if I try my own skin, it updates immediately. I'm looking through the Heavy Metal skin to see what is so different about it, but nothing so far has jumped out at me.

It could be something in the way the Heavy Metal skin's category is setup. Have to look further into it.

Hi,
here is version 0.2:

- increased number of max. Stations
- selectable database format Genres or Stations
- enhanced refresh status informations
- added sample database shoutcast.xml to archive

dont know how stable it is, but never had crashes.

I have problems when I use Genres option ... it creates the database with subitems, but for some reason, when I click (press enter) on genre, it starts playing station instead of opening genre. It's not a category problem, since it works with the old version of shoutcast database (the one with scripts)... I'll examine it some more and see if I can find the difference between the two...

EDIT: The only issue I continue to have is getting my refreshed shoutcase database to reload without rebooting XL.

Sharp,

Change the name of the category from radio_stations (I think) or whatever the default name used, to the name of your database. For me I just used shoutcast (shoutcast.xml in the Xlobby database directory), and the list updates immediately without restarting Xlobby. Verified using the Carbon Fiber Heavy Metal skin.

i'm testing with this config :

- All genre ar checked
- minbitrate = all
- MaxStationsPerGenre = 300
- DatabaseFormat = TwoLevels

i start the refresh event and when is finished on my southcast database i don't have radio for this genre :

-70
-80
-pop
-RnB
-Talking

I am not sure why this is such a tough thing for me to figure out but it is. I have changed the category name (see below) to "shoutcast-radio" (which is my database name) and everything else that referred to the old category name...I am still not able to get the radio screen to refresh with the updated database unless I reboot. Ugh!!!

Hi,

- the empty categorys are easily explained, shoutcast has no items in them. You can go to shoutcast an look which genres are empty.

- i have no idea on the problem with the database (opening the categories ). Try to use a new screen with a new category, if it works there it might be a category problem.

- sharp_1:did you also change the parameter of the plugin event ?
