Ripping Front end for Xlobby

Hi all,

I have a reasonable collection of DVDs that i would like to rip onto my HTPC. I know (and have used) dvd decryptor and dvd shrink, and they do a reasonable job... what i would love though is a front end that would when asked to rip a dvd, 1) go find the cover on the internet, 2) download summary info off the internet, 3) rip the DVD and add it to the collection.

It should of course also be able to show a nice menu of the DVDs and launch a player that have been ripped.

And got to thinking...yeah, I would love it if Xlobby would sense an audio CD or DVD put in the drive and automatically RIP it with my desired configuration (e.g. CD FLAC via EAC, into my audio server filestructure based on genre; DVD via ??? movie only)...how hard would this be in Xlobby and has anyone gotten anywhere close?

With cd's and the cdex plugin, its a piece of cake.. I have that built into my skin already. (well its not 100% automatic, you put the cd in and it asks you if you want to rip it

)

With dvd's you can too, with the dvd decrypter plugin, but that whole process could use a bit of polishing.

Does CDEX enable EAC like quality and ripping to FLAC?

the cdex plugin is just a small app that talks to a freeware program called cdex.
