nowplaying>music?

Help each other out

nowplaying>music?

Postby rbziggy on Sun May 28, 2006 10:56 am

When I create a new text item (or even say a rectangle) and assign nowplaying>music in the 'ID:' field I, as expected, get the cover of the nowplaying tract displayed.

So far so good.

However, if there is no track playing, a translucent, slightly 3d style, square is shown instead.

Is there anyway of getting nothing displayed in this case? (i.e. I'd like there to nothing shown so that the item is basically invisible).

I'm using the standard Simplicity skin as a base here and the same effect occurs if I copy one of the existing items from that skin; so create or copy seems to be the same.

Thanks

It seems you are seeing the overlay.
Hit Pause/Break
select the music window where your covers are showing up

Under Category
Find: Display
Then the 'Top layer' button
in there you will see image
If you see what the image is pointing to it may be a Glass*.png

If you remove that, your empty 3d style square should go away

If it's that's not doing what you want, you may also want to check what the "No Cover' image is pointing to, and remove that.

Cixel

Thanks for this - got it sorted.

It looks like it was the 'no cover' item that was causing it. Removing this takes away the white suquare effect.

I've been struggling with this for ages so I'm now really pleased! :D

Thanks again
