Skype plugin !?

Xlobby plugin development

I completely forgot to mention that for XSkype, it's best to disable ALL notifications in Skype config... also, here's another trick how to disable even more than config dialog allows:

You can use srvany.exe from the Windows resource kit to run an application as a service. The W2K3 resource kit is here (it should work with XP no problem): http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... layLang=en

Just google for "srvany" for details.

Hope it helps!

No go :-( It starts with srvany, but plugin can't connect to it... with firedaemon, it can be set to "interact with desktop" and then it works, but then it still opens up dialog on call :-)

This happened to me only when for some reason it couldn't connect to Skype. Try checking following:

* Install ActiveS?
* Copy XSkype.DLL into plugins folder of xlobby
* check in Skype that the access is allowed to XLobby:
- in skype open tools->options
- select tab "privacy"
- click on "manage other programs access to skype"
- check if xlobby is there

Image

* Interop.SKYPEAPILib.dll should be at the XLobby root directory (i.e. c:\program files\xlobby\ )

To me it looks like you either have plugin in the wrong place or it doesn't have access to skype...

I think not... when you run XLobby, Skype should ask you to authorize access to it...

What happens when you run their API test? :

http://files.khaoslabs.com/skypeapi/SkypeAPITest_1009.zip

Just download, extract all to one folder and run SkypeAPITest.exe

Skype should ask you to authorize access to that program?

K yeah that worked. but it still does not ask xlobby to.. does xlobby2.exe need to be in a certain place for this to authorize? im just not sure.. my plugin and everything are in the proper places.

No, Skype detects when a program wants to connect to it and prompts...

Weird. Only thing that comes to mind is that the plugin is not loading, therefore it's not accessing Skype...

check if Interop.SKYPEAPILib.dll is in it's place, Xskype.dll in plugins...

Do you see XSkype.dll in Xlobby (F2->plugins) list?

Has anyone else used Skype plugin successfully and connected to Skype (as I didn't get much feedback)?
