I have ripped off (leveraged in) the work of airpost to start my own version of a media center clone. Here are the main menus and the movie section:











My objective was to create an easily used interface for viewing/listening to media without providing database management inside xlobby. These screens build on (borrow from) the work of colby and baddabing here at xlobby and a theme from MlbDude at Sage TV.

I am currently working on the music section, and it is near completion.

Sorry folks - been back from vacation physically but my mind is still vacationing. I have made some changes to the skin so it will probably take some more time to finish. Plus I'm getting into this new hobby of lpfm broadcasting.

Here are a few shots of the changes I'm making. Basically, I'm doing submenus to eliminate unnecessary button clutters in the modules.

briands - my thinking was to call SageTV as a separate program. The only problem I see with this approach is finding a way to automatically set the focus to xlobby when Sage is put back to sleep. Trying to incorporate Sage into xlobby is beyond my meager skills.

airpost - what is your timing for working on your skins, given your new hobby? If you need some assistance to collaborate, let me know. With regular season college football winding down, and business travel slowing during the holiday season, I will have some time to work on this. I do not see much value in both of us creating an MC set of skins.

Don, I really don't have a set time yet. Might as well work and finish your skin - the more choices, the merrier, even if it's the same layout. With the rate I'm going, it will be weeks before I finish mine.

So what we need then is someone with Studio to build a TV only STV with MC styling... or if MLBdude's MC STV could have configurable menus ala Cayers we could just add the features we require

If you are speaking of the transition from xlobby to Sage, it works well on my computer. The only bug is the getting of focus back to xlobby, as I mentioned earlier.

It would be nice when (if) we get Studio.
