usb-uirt event not working for new cable box

I have my usb-urit plugin working with everything but mt cable box. Under events in the setup menu I created a new group "cable box" i have pre created all IR commands. They all work fine when tested on the command/triggers side and in the plugin setup. I then add an event to the group "cable box" called chanel up i then assign it an alias and command and then test it on the events side and it will not work. I have my recever. projector and DVD player working fine its just this cable box giving me trouble. any ideas?

how do you insert a screen pic in your post?
any way its not that page. the IR is working fine when tested on that page. Its the event page giving me fits. i test the "IR alias/command on the right side and all works fine i then add that command to a event "left side" i then test it "test button on left" and it will not work.

Make sure your channel up event is highlighted before you click test button.

I did have it highlighted. The test works on all other devices it's just the cable box. Thanks for the help. Troubleshoothing is allways about patience. I just know its something small. just cant figure it out.
