Plugin to burn iso or img files to a dvd using cdrecord.exe (opensource app). Can also be used to create a cd or dvd image
###

Hi
created a simple plugin to burn iso and img files to a dvd using cdrecord.exe (opensource app)

download with example screens at
http://www.xlobby.com/files/Shaggy/XDvd ... vdBurn.rar

Pass the iso filename with full path with "" to the plugin for burn. Example
"%BurnDvd>parameter%"
In the screen I use a category Movies2 wich contains all my iso files.Change the location in the databse import for YOUR location of iso files on the hard drive.

The cdrecord.exe is included in the zip file with the permission from the author.see readme file for details.

EDIT:The plugin can now also create a standard dvd iso from a mpg file. One touch convert to iso....I NEED TESTERS
If any prob occur see the xlobby/logs/log for errors
:EDIT

I sent a mail to the author of cdrecord and asked if I can redistribute the exe file but no answer yet. The problem is that there exist 10 diff versions and the one I picked worked for me so I hope they work for u too.

Just try it without xlobby first. U can see the commandline in the ini file..

Update:
The plugin can now take a mpg file and convert it to a standard ISO file that can be burned with the plugin or mounted with deamon tools.

Very nice new idea. With Xltv, I record in xvis (avi extension). It should be great if your plugin could burn avi files too!!!

I will try to test your plug and tell you.

well the plugin only burns iso but the cdrecord.exe prob can burn anything. check the syntax..

Or if u can find a way to convert AVI to MPG then your set.
like this one
http://abmefaq.net/files/avi2mpg1.zip
There's prbably a commandline out there somewhere that can do it.Then u just add that infron of the command to create an iso and thats it. I use bbDEMUX for the mpg and that only works on mpg files.

ISO burner is a tool that might be really useful. It is extremely easy to use yet small and relaible. You can find more on it if you wish to

isoburner is good too but I chose cdrecord cause I can catch the output and display it in xlobby. Use it every week and works really good.
