Xlobby over remote desktop

Can I run Xlobby over remote desktop? When I try to start my server via RDP all I get is a black screen call splash.

I use VNC instead when I need to administer my HTPC.Free faster better.....

i'we used remote desktop a few times, no problem

could it be a resolution problem?

I use RDP to manage my xlobby server all the time with no problems. You do need to make sure that the resolution of the RDP session is the same as the xlobby screen resolution.

I do the same as rhinoman, despite being slightly more limiting than VNC it is already installed so I look at it as one less thing you need to run as a service on your htpc.

Setting the resoltion the same fixed it.

Now I can see everything via RDP.
