Compile SD version to run on XBMC?

Postby Aaron on Fri Feb 18, 2005 6:21 am

Steven,
I'm wondering if it would be possible to compile the SD version so it would run on XBOX Media Center (XBMC)?

I use XBMC constantly and would love to be able to run an interface for XLobby through XBMC. It would give me an all in one interface.

The other option is if it was possible to duplicate the SD functionality using Python since XBMC supports Python. Not sure if this is even possible since I know nothing about Python.

What do you think... willing to give it a go?

Steven,
Do you think this is possible? I think it may work since the XDK (XBOX Developers Kit) is also MS. If you want to try it and need the XDK shoot me an email.

This would be sweet on the xbox!

man I just sold my xbox (eating to much of my time), I guess it would be possible if I documented the communication protocol then you could write your own app.....but it might be quite the endevour to actually do it on an xbox.

I was thinking it might be a quick port for you... it may compile almost completely in tact since they are both based on MS development technologies.

If you want, I can send you the XDK... just let me know.

I'd do it myself but I'm not a coder... I know NO C(++ or #) programming.
