Can I change the Xlobby "leaving" picture?

Postby bassysmart on Sun Oct 15, 2006 6:17 pm

When I click on exit for Xlobby I get all options to reboot, close etc.

On the close option there is a picture of something all in gold, can I change this picture to one of my own choice?

I can change the bootup pic and the main screen pic, but I cant find the exit pic?

The exit pic is most likely an overlay. Overlays can't be edited directly. You have to go to a normal screen (like the main menu screen), enter the skin editor (Pause/Break) then the 'Goto' tab and select the exit overlay (most likely called exit).

The "golden" box is most likely a missing image, so once you have the overlay open in the editor, you can change whatever image you want. Most time the images are .png or .jpg files.

Hope this helps.

Cheers mate.

I can find the pic using the pause/break button in Xlobby but I can seem to see any option to change it to one of my choice?

What am I missing?

When in the skin editor, select the image (it should have a dotted line around it when selected). Once selected, click on the 'Image' tab. You should see a box titled 'Images' with a list of images below. These are images found within the skin\button directory. If your images reside outside of this directory, they will not be shown and you will have to copy them in. If you copy them in after Xlobby is running, click on the 'Refresh Images' button to update the list. If the images are buttons (with -down and -enter images), you can see the different states by clicking on the 'Preview State' buttons. Once you find your image in the list, just select it and that should change the image in the skin.

Just a tip. Good reading material on skinning can be found here, and well worth a read if you start getting more heavy into modifying skins...actually...it is just worth reading.

Hope this helps.
