Questions about HeavyMetal skin

Postby summerall on Thu Feb 24, 2005 1:12 am

Hey Baddabing couple quick questions about your skin:

1. On the playlist screen what does the "Snap" button do?

2. On the "Settings" screen how do I control my home lighting? I have a few X-10 lamp modules laying around.

3. Have you ever run into a problem with queuing the second song in the playlist? Here's how I recreate the issue.

From the start screen, select music (all albums display)
Click on an album
Click on a song to play and select "play track"
Click back to all music
Click another album
Click on a song to play and select "que track"
Go to the playlist
Notice that the second song is NOT in the playlist???

Thanks

The snap button causes XL to jump to and display the current album being played. You can see this if:
1. you go to playlist and que a couple songs from different albums
2. click the snap button
3. go to the music tracks screen
4. click the '>>' next track button
5. tada!

Two, you will need to create events for X-10 control and use either a USBUIRT or Girder and an x10 controller package. Search the forum for x1- or USBUIRT for more info.

Three, its not really a problem, its how XL works. Play-track plays a song without adding it to the playlist so you can decide if you want it on the list or not. If you want all tracks to appear in the playlist, hit que track rather than play track - even on for the first track.

Lastly, a minor point, please post questions about a skin in that skins discussion thread rather than creating a new one. It makes it easier for others to see all the questions and answers related to that skin without having to search the entire forum. Thanks.
