I can't for the life of me get this working. I can set up the program fine, but for some reason it just goes straight to the movie. I use zoomplayer for playing dvds and media alike. hrmmm any ideas?

Hi Matt:
This thing is a little tricky to setup. PMM seems to be very finicky about spaces. Are you try to run trivia or just videos?

Ed,

I am also having trouble getting PMM to receive the input from XLobby. How did you set up your configuration?

Mac:
I did finally get it to work intermittantly. It was not solid enough for me to use on a regular basis. Steven has started supporting the playing of trailers in Xlobby, so I basically decided to stop messing with PMM and do it all in 1 app. I liked the trivia capability in PMM, but what I thought was pretty cool, others greated with luke warm responses, so I decided to drop it. If my setup was a dedicated HT, I might feel differently.

Unfortunately, I have deleted the revision of Xlobby I had working with PMM, so I don't have the setup info to share. If I get a chance I will try to re-create it and get back to you.

If anyone is still interested I have it working solid. Except for trailers and intro. Hope to have that soon.

Premovie Manager

Postby Renfro on Fri Jun 25, 2004 1:56 pm

Ok
It is pretty simple

1. Go to the event manager.
2. Edit the movies->"play movie" and edit the "Execute file" command to point to premovie.exe. If Execute file is not there you can add it.
3. Remove the 'execute' command from 'play movie'
4. Make sure you have to the paths correct in Premovie Manager.
5. In video options parameters put @movie@.

This is working for me. Set your trivia options the way you want and they will work fine. I tried @playlist@ and it did not work. I have also tried @demo@ @movie@ and this does not work. I'll keep playing with it and see.

I'm at work right now but if I am not totally brain dead this is what I did. Let me know if this does not work.

I have PMM working solid, it took a full day to configure it properly but it works everytime now for a month. I play a demo, intro and movie. This is the setup I have xlobby40.2pre17,PMM,Zoom Player,TT video codecs,PowerDVD audio codecs.USBUIRT,Girder,BZHirder. If anybody needs me to post my setup in eventmanager and PMM let me know.

jmatienzo,
When you say, "demo, intro and movie", what do you mean by demo & intro? I'm unfamiliar with PMM so forgive the ignorance, but am beginning to think that if I want trailers & intros that it might be the best way to do it.

Basically you can play slide show, demo(dts,THX,DD),Movie Trailes,Intro,Outro and Movies. for example in my setup for demo it plays a random demo(DD,THX)you can tell it how many you want it play on my I only play one. For outro I play a welcome to our HT & feature presentation trailer & then the main movie. Hope this is clear enought. sorry I should have type outro instead of intro, but and intro is just a little trailer that has the name of your theather, background music, etc. you can have one made custom for your HT or you can download a free generic one. try the link below.

Okay, I see what you mean. The terms trailers, demos, intros etc. can mean different things to different people depending on the situation. So how hard was it to set up?

It took about 5 hours setup, because I didn't read a help files or forums post.
but now that I look back at it is really easy.
