Lost database thumbnail images in latest beta

Postby Bill Lott on Sat Feb 21, 2009 11:18 pm

Just loaded the latest beta and I lost all the album and DVD covers. Getting an error message when I try to locate them thru the setup menu.

Anyone else seeing this???

Yes I know there are several bugs I noticed this myself last night, we rebuilt the whole database import and thumbnail systems so it is having some issues by just upgrading. to selected

(unselected,seletected..etc) is now visible
-installer exe keyboard tab order fixed
-search screens textbox added to skine ditor

-timer "countdown clock" added, a new command to create a countdown
clock that runs independent of the thread
-trigger "enable" "disable" "enable disable toggle" functions added
-"xlobby""simulate keyboard activity" command added
-timer wait format added hh:mm:ss
-inactivity format added hh:mm:ss
-client now receives server import status when refreshing from a client

+playlist playback on server from client
+database import/refresh speed increase, quick refresh...old refresh
if imported again within 15sec
+xnet "auto find server" option, no need to server ip or port anymore
+playlists synch from server to client now
+all command parameters are now parsed for stored variables
+thumbnail system updated for large collections, large covert and improved speed
+f2->info set, listbox variable name not updated when changed

We will address the import and thumbnail issues first thing Monday. :)

Same here. Deleted the cache folder and all came back except picture folder covers.
Deleted them again and several came back on refresh. Moused over the blank ones and they appeared.

Thanks for the update Wes - that's why they call 'em betas... Keep the enhancements and additions coming. It's fun watching this thing grow.

now i'm worried, i don't want to go thru losing all the images.
did everyone get all their images back again?

i usually do a full install anyway, never an upgrade so i think it will be fine

Deleteting the cache and reloaded worked for me. Thanks for the tip.

took a little doing but all is well again.
had some issues with the default menu database, with the images, but everything is back to normal.
hopefully we don't have to do another upgrade like that again, i like the updates much better than a full install.
