nope you're english is just fine

start with a clean unzipped xlobby folder

then unzip the stuff from the XLobbyMC download and put the stuff from databases into xlobby\databases and so on for each folder

so the skin should be located at

Xlobby\skins\XLobbyMC-720x480\lots of files and folders

ACTUALLY...since your'e new to xlobby try just extracting the skin zip file directly to the xlobby folder and letting it overwrite the old file

then start XLobby

press F2 and goto the 'Skins' tab...choose XLobbyMC in the drop down box and press restart

let me know if that gets the skin showing for you

What must i do with the sage TV Program? Must it start in the background ?

If it works, how can i make it that it works with my PDA to ?

Hi,
sorry it dosn´t work.

I download Xlobby "by2 Pre-Release 1 of Simplicity". I unpack the ZIP in a new Folder. Than i start xlobby for test it. It works perfect.

I download "XLobbyMC v1.50" form the Skin section. I unpack the Zip in a extra folder. Than i copy all folders from this folder to the xlobby folder and owerwrite the existing folders.

Now i start xlobby. I go the the setup with F2 and change the skin and press restart. Than xlobby restart. I see the "Load Screen" from your skin. It show for example "Plugins" and "Setup" and after that the program shut down. I can not see the menu items to select somethink.

Do you know where is the problem ? Have i make a mistake ?

have you also installed the latest update available on the downloads page...it should just be a three or four files and a folder to put in the xlobby folder

and you just want Sage to be asleep, xlobbymc will wake it and when you sleep sage, xlobby will wake up

is anyone else having issues?

Since updating to Save V4.0, sage will not give up control even when I tell it to sleep. Should I be using FSE? What settings are you using in Sage?

I don't use FSE, I think that prevents it from giving up control, and it also often crashed my system when i tried playing video games after watching a show...apparently didn't like giving back access to the video card.

I also have the 'Screen Saver on Sleep' disabled...and ScreenSaver timeout set to 0

Oh and there's a reg setting that may need to be modified...i think it can be done by downloading TweakUI from the microsoft website and adjusting a setting in the 'General' setting...you need to uncheck 'prevent applications from stealing focus' or some such.

this is on the downloads page 'Latest and greatest' it's called. It's updates to a few of the files in the big download.

Also which screen does your setup hang on? Is it not loading one of the items and just freezing or does it load everything and goto a black screen or crash?

ok now it works. I make all updates and now i can start xlobby with your skin

ok, but now i have the next problem. I test to press the button "myTV" and than "liveTV" to look TV. But when i press the button, nothing happend. Bevor i start xlobby i start sage and but it into the task in the background. But nothing happend. I can´t watch TV.

I have installed the newst version of sage 4. Works your Skin with sage 4 ?

I am in Germany. So the Folder with sageTV ist not c:\programm files......
The Folder ist C:\programme\....

AND i install sage not in the normal sage folder. My Folder ist c:\programme\sage\.....

I think maybe this is the problem, while i can´t look TV ?

Can you tell me what must i do ?

If you are seeing the "LiveTV" menu item, then you have succesfully switched to SageTV. The issue you have is then within Sage.

Unless I am misunderstanding?

ok maybe i missunderstand somethink.

Because now i turned on my speakers. So when i press the button "myTV" and than "liveTV" i hear the TV Channel. I can Presse the Channel UP oder DOWN button to change the Channels. I hear all. But i see nothing. I see all buttons like a remote controll, but no TV Screen ?

BUT, i see Nothing. But maybe this is my missunderstand. I have only 1 PC with 1 TFT Display. I have no two displays. I think i can use Xlobby as full Programm. So i think i can press liveTV in Xlooby and i see a windows with my TV ? I think it is the same as my sageTV but only with other features and with other look ?

Maybe Xlooby is only to control somethink ? So i need a second PC or a PDA ?

At that moment i am a little confused

Ok...i know what the problem is....SageTV is not getting focus and coming to the front. SageTV needs to be asleep in system tray, before you can press the 'My TV' button on the main menu in XLobby.

Don't worry about the PDA yet, we will do that after we get the regular setup working.

Also make sure that SageTV works by itself.


If you press 'ALT+TAB' can you switch back and forth between XLobby and SageTV?
