Jowaldo's skin - Beta1

Jowaldo, where did you get your button icons? (yeah, I'm modifying your skin, however, it isn't easy as it is very nice as it is) I want to add some buttons on the main menu for Radio, TV-guide, TV, Traffic and train info, Recipies, Babycam (Finaly bought an axis camera, so the HTPC should be able to look after the baby, which is to be born 5th of june, have to have th exlobby thing running by then :-)

I'm looking for icons which are a bit like the ones you used.

The icons on the buttons themselves on the main screen I got from all over the place... to many places to remember.

One good place to check is http://www.allxboxskins.com/index.php? there are programs for modded xbox's that do many things similar to xlobby, and its been around a while, so there are some good skin icons/ideas to get from there.

The buttons themselves (like all the gray ones), for the most part I made myself. For Radio, TV and TV guide I could make some since so many people will probably be using this now, if not soon..

Jowaldo,

Would really love to get your psd files when they're ready. This would make adding new buttons with the same look/feel much easier.

Yeah I want to give them out, but right now the names and layers are a complete mess, and would make it very confusing for people to straighten out... Hopefully I will get around to it soon.

What buttons do you need? I will be making some of the more common (games, tv, epg) ones soon. Are there any other ones you will use?

Mainly front menu buttons (and PPC menu buttons) but also some "blank" buttons that I can use for templates. I'm currently going through the exercise of figuring out how best to control my whole system via PPC so there are lots of little functions that are not easily categorised!

Bottom line is I'll take anything you're prepared to give away!

Jowaldo - those up/down arrows I mentioned earlier does not have any event assigned. It's on the "musicviewer" page.

Just checked with a fresh download.

oops forgot to assign an event to it... I fixed it and it will be in the next beta

HI jowaldo

Iv been useing your skin now since you posted it, and im very happy.

I may have missed it but do you have a random button that will play any track off any album, I found one button but i think that only does random tracks withing a one album.

dont think that is supported in Xlobby- not a skin thing

i think the random button only works within the current playlist

I really thought id seen it on 4.0 version, Im sure when i pressed it before it chose another album and track on the play next item. Maybe im wrong :lol:

Well you guys know more than i do, Do you think that this could be added in future versions.

For right now, I have just been creating playlists in winamp, and saving them in the playlist folder.

tks for the great skin. Can you make a button on the main screen the says Zoomplayer or DVD Player, that way when you click on it,it plays whatever dvd you have in the dvd-rom, tks.

No problem... I'll probably make an icon that is just something like "dvd player" since people use other programs too like theatertek, and "dvd player" is much easier for people using a system and don't know what zoomplayer is
