PPC error

Hi, trying to get my PPC connected, wlan is working, set up the settings.txt file as follows

192.168.0.10:ppcmenu

net framework is installed on both machines and the server IS running on that ip.

When i run the client i get the following error:

any ideas what i should do to correct this?

woah thats the old way to setup the ppc client.

Get the latest exes here

and read up here on how the servers.txt file should look like

I am getting some reports that the ppc client isnt working, so check the bugs section if you run into problems.

Thanks steven, i'll try these tonight, i thought i had the latest exe's but i might be wrong.

edit...ohhh since the new exe's didnt put the client files in the client directoy, when i went to set up my ppc i used the old files since they weren't overwritten

OK steven, i set it up and it locks up my ppc when trying to load...no error just stops working. I'm using heavy metal skin, should i try default? Also am using ppcmenu in the setup.txt if that matters any.

I would go try the default skin to test the PPC function. I have not done any work to verify that the PPC skins work in HeavyMetal.

I was having a similiar problem last weekend. It was totally my err that was causing it.

I didn't realize that the xlobby2sd.exe and servers.txt files were not supposed to remaim on the machine running xlobby. Just out of curiosity I installed them on the PPC and violla! Once they were both on the PPC (in the same folder) I only had to launch the xlobby2sd.exe and all worked properly.

Not sure if exactly same problem as what you are experiencing, but maybe ........
EDIT......I'm using the default skin.

I got it working last night with the new heavymetal skin.
Its a little slow, but not too bad, it locked up on me once or twice.

Baddabing, if you could label the buttons on the ppc menus that would be awesome. I think you have just about the perfect skin If the "anything you want" was PVR and all the music buttons were labelled that would be super.
