Xl browser : disable associations files

I there any one know how can I disable Windows associations files in the xlobbly browser (category Desktop) ?
I want have the possibility to open a folder and select a file but I don’t want,when I click on a file, launch the program that is associate to my extension file.
Ex. I want select a .xls file but I don’t want that open Excel. ( In fact I don’t want launch any programs when I click on a file)
Usually, I use, in a category, an “Info Screen” Information to disable the Windows associations files but it doesn’t work in the xlobby Browser (category Desktop) .
is someone can help me ?

I think we can do the trick with the command FTYPE of windows :

FTYPE>myextension.txt to save the current filetype associations
FTYPE Excel.Sheet.8=notepad.exe for your exemple

Do the trick

Then FTYPE Excel.Sheet.8="C:\Program Files...\Excel.exe" to restore.

I'm planning to make a plugin to easily select which extension I want to change and which one remain...
