Jowaldo,

First off, your skin is great! A few little problems, but great.

As has already been pointed out, the up and down buttons in the track listing on the album viewer page didnt have events assigned, but that was a simple fix.

Also, I think you need to add a "play all" and "clear playlist" button so that you can randomly listen to every song if you want (or every song after using a filter).

Also, a reset button is needed on the music page to clear any filters that have been applied.

I'm adding a Music Video category to your skin, what font was used in the titles that say "Movies" and "Music" ?

All those things I've already fixed or added since I posted that version of the skin. The next version I'll post will have those fixes, plus a nowplaying screen for music, autoplay cd overlay, movie launch overlay, and ppc screens.

Oh and for the buttons on the main screen I used the Impact font.

Great skin, here a screenshot of how I modified the main screen, in order to enable more buttons on this screen. I also made som eof my own buttons, real cool to do!

Whats the verkeer button for? Is it for a webpage with traffic info? Also what program do you use for babycam?

Jowaldo, The "verkeer" button is indeed traffic. It moves to a page which has a map showing the traffic sitautionn in the region. This is web based, so it uses a web image (like weather)
Thye babycam is an axis 205 webcam. I can't use the stremaing video from the cam so I use gif images which are updated every second.

I am trying to get the news to work.
I have followed the help section in xlobby, and although it works for the default skin, it doesnt for your one.

Also the weather. I have gone into the skin editor, and have found, amazingly, where the urls are for the images, but now can not figure out how to change them.

okay, found the xml that contains the uk weather. am changing that.

However news doesnt seem to be that easy.

Update.

Weather. I have changed the ref in the weather.xml file to a eur sat one, but the image does not change in xlobby.

News. I have found in setup, event manager where you have defined the name of the news db. I have set up two, top stories and tech. both work fine with the test button, but i can not switch between them with the cat. menu.

You have to close xlobby and edit the xml then reopen zlobby or the image won't change. Or maybe edit the xml and refresh the database on the db tab. Never tried it that way I always edit the xml with xlobby closed.

bugger me, this is hard for the beginner.

Just found the skin sub section, changed the news feeds in there and they are working.
Now to try and find the weather one in here.

Oh joy, I can leave u all alone, for a bit.

Seems the changes were not being saved in the weather.xml file.

Now they are, and the lovely sunny weather pictures have been replaced with grey and rain!

For the news hit f2 and go to the databases tab. Then at the bottom where it says "create new rss database" put newstopstories in for the the name, and this link http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/topstories for the url.

Basically just do this:


then also do it for the other categories with name and link as follows

newstechnology
http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/tech

newsentertainment
http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/entertainment

newssports
http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/sports


If you want to add any other categories, there are plenty more here http://news.yahoo.com/rss/ and all over the web. If you do though, you will have to make new events for these categories. Check in the event manager under skin>news>set db xxxx to get an idea of how to duplicate it.

About the web images, you can't really edit the link through the skin editor. Your best bet is just to delete the ones in there already that you don't want, and in the skin editor go to the screen tab, then add misc tab, and in the website box, add whatever link to any image you want.

The hardest thing was finguring out what you called the newsfeeds.

As I say, I edited the xml files for the weather and got it pointing to the right ones.

As I have now found this forum, I might as well ask my avs question here, is there multiaudio support in the skin as I can not find the button.

i'm assuming you mean multizone support, which I haven't added yet. I personally don't use that, but more people than I thought would be, have asked for it. Maybe I should bump it up on the list of todo's..

You could add it pretty easily though.. Just compare whats in the default skin that has it already and try and duplicate it.
