Need Help, I can't Import Movies

Postby zxr35 on Wed Mar 08, 2006 8:36 pm

I cant figure out how to import movies, I must be a dumbass,
so can someone steer me in the right direction. I've ripped the movie with DVD shrink, just the main movie only and I have it in video_ts format. so when I do to add the directory to xlobby and do an import it says I have imported one file. Then I try to use the search function for the coverart etc, nothing happens, so I don't think I'm importing correctly.
I tried every directory structure that I can find and still no luck.

Thanks

You are probably getting the movie imported just having problems with the spiders (code to grab coverart etc). Make sure you have the latest spiders downloaded http://www.xlobby.com/spiders.zip

You can check to make sure the movie is imported by pulling up the Setup Menu (F2), selecting "Databases". Select the "movies" database, "Edit". You should see the Items in the database on the left if they got imported.

DVD's in DB but no Cover Art

Postby johnoc on Sat Apr 01, 2006 11:21 pm

I'm having the same issue with DVD cover art. I was unable to grab anything via the Cover Art/Spider screen within Baddabing's Burlwood skin, so I went directly to the DB. I see my 4 DVD's, but even after going into the Spider tab (still within the DB) and manually going out and searching Amazon.com, finding National Treasure, and having it indicate it downloaded data, it's still blank... Is there another location on my harddrive that it could be downloading them too and it's just not seeing them??

Another question regarding Cover Art... How do you handle multi DVD movies? I have them ripped as ISO files, but different folders per DVD, so it shows up in the DB as Band of Brothers Disc1, Band of Brothers Disc2, etc... All seperate DVD's... How do folks handle those??

Thanks again for your help!
