Albums tracks not sorting correctly

I have noticed something weird happening with my albums.....I noticed that a few of them had the tracks in the wrong order so I opened up the database and took a look and saw that those particular albums had some songs with missing track numbers so I added the missing information and clicked on SORT but it did not put them in the right order. The sort order is: "artist:albumname:tracknumber:trackfilename"

I tried removing trackfilename and/or tracknumber and it still lists them in the wrong order.....I also re-numbered them so they all had 2 digits (i.e. 01 not 1) but nothing seems to work......the only thing that seems to work is to completely delete the album and re-rip it but I have over 400 albums and that is not an option.......I would think there should be a way to just correct the database.

Any ideas out there??

This happens frequently on "various" albums. The sort-order information is coming from the ID3 tag. Even on some "single artist" albums, the ID3 imported information can have different artists on different songs. What I've done is add an ENTER event (category:set sort order) to my Music Details screenchanges the sortorder to albumname:tracknumber:trackfilename (no artist so various albums, etc sort by track number). I also added an EXIT even (category:set sort order) to set it back to the default, artist:albumname:tracknumber:trackfilename so that normal listing work correctly.
