xlobby will not start (initialize)

Help each other out

xlobby will not start (initialize)

Postby Chazotta on Wed May 19, 2004 4:18 am

Hi there.

I have downloaded the xlobby2pre14.zip file and the xlobby2pre17.zip file, extracted the 14.zip file and replaced the .exe file with the one from the 17.zip file.

When I run the exe it comes up with "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click in OK to terminate the application."

Help!

regards

1- the .net framework must be installed
2- Try 1024x768 resolution before running xlobby.

I get a similar message if i connect my htpc to a monitor instead of the TV it normally runs on.

Later
Simon.

Thanks.

From recalling my system (at home), I'm pretty sure that .net framework is not installed.

Is this a standard install from the automatic update web site for XP or do I have to download this from somewhere in particular?

How do I know that it is/is not installed?

cheers

It's okay, I just worked it out from the Microsoft website.

Yes you can get .net from windows update. If it is installed already it will appear in add/remove programs and equally when you search for updates it wont appear.

if the above didn't help try this.

rename xlobby.xml to xlobby.org

start xlobby2.exe
