Hi,

I am trying still to sort out how best to store music on my HTPC and am stuck.

I am using EAC / Monkey to rip and compress after recommendation by Tracie. I am quite happy with quality but unfortunately the tags the .ape files have seem to be ignored by X Lobby and album's running order is lost.

Looking at the properties of the .ape files there is no track number so I have tried tag and rename which allows me to add missing info but these additions do not appear in the files properties.

Am i being thick?

it could be they decided to change the ape tag format, or your actually writing id3 tags maybe?
