Thanks for the quick reply.
Where do you get that "library" termonology? Thats not how Xlobby works.
Exactly what I am trying to figure out. Unfortunately, I don't have the history with the app that you do and therefore I don't have the knowledge of all the aspects of the development and the thought process involved.
If you really dont care about albums or tracknumber, then why not have your music in directories of artist as Scott said? I assume you have your music organized in incomplete albums, which makes no since to me at all.
I guess that's kind of my point, why do I need order the files in any physical fashion? I have over 5000 songs and don't have the time or ambition to organize them in any physical structure. What if later on I decide I want to organize them by Genre or Year? If you are going to go to the trouble of creating an xml data structure from tagged data in the MP3 files, I assumed the system would perform the organization function since all the necessary data is there. I'm not saying that this is necessarily wrong taking all other aspects of xLobby into consideration. I am just trying to understand so I can apply it to my skin.
I think the problem is how you import. Your track info is called the details of a category entry. So if your category is Artist, its details would be albums. If your category is albums (beautiful coverart) then the details are tracks. I dont know how you would list all the tracks of 1 artist from different albums in a normal category view, unless you do a filter or custom search based on artist.
I import as Artist>Album with Ignore Folders checked. Maybe what I am looking for is an Artist>Track import option.
