Video backgrounds

I know this has been talked about before, but I was curious if video backgrounds could be an option, if its even possible. Personally I wouldn't go too nuts what videos play there, but something like what tivo uses would look nice.

not possible in basic c# if you have to be done when c# and directx. Which would require me rewriting xlobby, and then someone will ask for animated backgrounds on the thin client which is impossible.

so the answer is hell no.

what about flash? thought that was possible

Flash is possible still as far as I know. You can do that now. But you will quickly see it devours your cpu usage.

yes we could do flash backgrounds, I think we tried that enough times though....never really worked properly and would take %100 of the cpu.
