Startup page in web browser?

Postby sdumas on Wed Sep 09, 2009 10:43 pm

Hi Everyone,

How do you specify which menu you want to start with with a web browser client?

I tried for example "http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8002/menuIwant" and nothing happens.

My goal is to have different menus from the browser and the main server/client(s).

Anyone knows how to call a menu directly from the address line?

Thanks!

Still looking into your issue. We have changed so much code in this area.

If I added this your server would also jump to this page as the web browser is a mirror of the server. Just making sure you are aware of that.

A way around this would be to enable multiple instances and run another xlobby on the same machine as a fat client and then connect to the fat clients web server.

Well, it would kind of work.

The goal is to use a PocketPC (Windows Mobile 6.5) and control a secondary machine via the web interface.

If it "mimics" the server, I will have to use a secondary fat client in order to control the first one. It's kind of a waste, but it would work.

Of course, having the possibility to decouple the web pages from the main server would be best, but if it can only mimic, then so be it.

Thanks!

Sorry - I just got the jist of your reply - so running another instance on the same machine would work. Using that instance as a fat client essentially controlling the first instance.

Then - no issue. With enough horsepower on a machine - it will definitely work.

the next build will have some new settings for customizing width/height returned for the web server in setup and a new auto refresh option. It will also allow you to change screens thru the url with something like this "http://192.168.1.132:8002/screen=lighting"
